ORC Binary Power Generation: Case Studies of Geothermal Power and Geothermal Energy Introduction

Compared to systems that utilize water vapor, it is possible to use heat sources or geothermal wells located at shallow depths.

We would like to introduce examples of utilizing ORC binary power generation, geothermal power generation, and geothermal energy. A heat collection system is installed at existing hot springs or geothermal wells drilled at suitable locations. This allows for the acquisition of sufficiently high-temperature and flow-rate hot water to operate one or multiple Zuccato Energia ORC modules. This module is well-suited for recovering energy from relatively low-temperature "weak" heat sources without the need for cumbersome and complex systems, thanks to its unique technology. 【Available Heat Sources】 ■ Hot springs (temperature above 95°C) ■ Volcanic heat (temperature above 150°C) ■ Geothermal energy wells ■ Green hydrogen generation using geothermal power *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Binary power generation: Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) power generation system

Contributing to the realization of a carbon-neutral society! How about converting and recovering waste heat into electricity? There are case studies of binary power generation implemented by industrial waste disposal companies.

This product is a power generation system that converts medium to low-temperature thermal energy into electrical energy using a simple and highly efficient thermodynamic cycle. Unlike the conventional Rankine cycle using steam, which is used in thermal power plants, this system employs an organic fluid with a lower boiling point than water as the working medium, enabling power generation from low-temperature heat sources that have been difficult to utilize and often discarded. Additionally, the working medium circulates within a sealed closed circuit, so it is not discharged outside the system. 【Features】 ■ Capable of recovering heat from medium to low temperatures ■ A wide range of capacities from 30 to 500 kW ■ Environmentally friendly organic working medium ■ Compact installation space ■ Easy installation with package modules ■ No need for a designated boiler and turbine chief engineer for small binary power generation ■ Achieves energy savings and decarbonization by utilizing unused heat and energy *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

ORC Binary Power Generation Case Study on Solar Energy Introduction

Can be adopted for solar thermal plants and solar hybrid plants! Solar energy collection.

We would like to introduce examples of heat collection using solar energy. With excellent performance in the intermediate load range, where only rated below thermal input can be obtained, Zuccato Energia's ORC module can be easily adopted in solar thermal plants and solar hybrid plants. Solar thermal systems utilizing these ORC technologies can generate electricity by utilizing relatively low-temperature heat obtained from simple heat-collecting solar thermal panels, as long as there is sufficient sunlight. 【Heat Collection Using Solar Energy】 <Solar Thermal System> ■ Generates electricity by utilizing relatively low-temperature heat obtained from simple heat-collecting solar thermal panels, as long as there is sufficient sunlight. <Hybrid System> ■ Automatically switches to alternative heat sources such as biomass/biogas boilers or geothermal systems when solar thermal energy is insufficient. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

ORC Binary Power Generation Case Study of Agricultural Biomass Introduction

Why not turn difficult-to-process waste into a resource! Utilization in the agricultural biomass sector.

We would like to introduce a case study of ORC binary power generation in the agricultural biomass sector. The treatment of chicken manure compost (biomass made from chicken droppings, feathers, and leftovers) in the poultry industry has been a long-standing issue. By using a specially designed stoker boiler equipped with special devices for efficient combustion and reduction of pollutant emissions, in combination with an appropriately sized ORC module, chicken manure compost can be monetized. [Case Overview] ■ System: Composed of a 1.1MWt boiler and a 150kWe ORC ■ Processed chicken manure compost: Over 3,400 tons annually ■ Generation: 1.2GWe annually *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
